Bentley Systems and Legion temporarily waive subscription fees to help building and facilities managers meet social distancing demands
Information from Bentley Systems
Bentley Systems has opened its Legion Simulator and OpenBuildings Station Designer software, including waiving new subscription fees, through 30 September 2020 for facilities managers to incorporate pedestrian simulation methodologies across their planning, design, and operations teams. OpenBuildings Station Designer’s BIM environment provides 3D context for Legion’s pedestrian simulation, and creates an operational digital twin for it.
With social distancing and crowd management being global concerns, the software can help station owners, planning and design firms, and facilities operators to develop models, simulate crowd movement, analyse foot traffic, and optimise space utilisation of infrastructure assets such as rail and metro stations, airports, retail and commercial complexes, hospitals, and stadiums.
Legion Simulator helps users solve planning and operations challenges such as validating social distancing plans; ensuring space maximisation; modelling wayfinding strategies; and providing virtual, collaborative planning, design and operations reviews.
